Much like his owner, 3-year-old Benji possesses a high appreciation for the arts.

According to owner Louise Griffin, the pair visited Southbank to come and see the popular Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.

And while Benji was disappointed to discover that the NGV doesn’t allow dogs inside its premises, Louise said he was content with soaking up the culture of Southbank’s Arts Precinct.

“We’ve just been to see the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition and he definitely wasn’t happy to wait out the front,” she said. “He’s artistic like his mum.”

While his official title is Benji, the Kavoodle (King Charles Cavalier cross Poodle) carries a number of nicknames including Foofy and Fluffy, which according to Louise is due his wonderful cuddly nature.

“He’s very playful and very loving and cuddly. He’s just an all round great guy,” she said.

“He can be naughty but that’s only when he wants to play but he’s just an amazing dog, the best dog in the world I’d say.”
