Business meets Boulevard

The Yarra River Business Association (YRBA) gained further insight into Southbank Boulevard at a business luncheon on July 20.

Held at Ludlow Bar & Dining Room on Southbank Promenade, principal project manager of city design at the City of Melbourne Steve Perumal explained the project to businesses in greater detail and answered a range of questions.

Members at the luncheon were also given an opportunity to mark things that they liked and disliked about Southbank Promenade on giant maps. Mr Perumal said his team would use the information to help guide council’s future upgrade of the area.

Construction works on the project officially got underway last month, with the section of road between St Kilda Rd and Sturt St closed off to regular traffic until November. As a result, Mr Perumal and his team have been busier than ever consulting locals this past month!

Local businesses interested in networking with others and staying informed with changes in the local area can become a member of the YRBA, which hosts a range of events throughout the year.

The YRBA will host its next luncheon in November.
