Southgate cinema back

Southgate Cinema has returned and, with the help of the relocated Blue Train, movie-lovers now have the opportunity to enjoy films with a side of food and drink.

As the restaurant is now located adjacent to the open plan cinema, guests can pre-order snacks and drinks from the movie menu.

Some of the films featured during the October-December season include The Sapphires, Midnight in Paris and Silver Linings Playbook.

Southgate’s Jo Gartner said the centre was looking forward to re-launching the cinema and that the guest experience was enhanced with the new location and offering at Blue Train.

“It’s exciting to be able to re-launch the cinema with a new movie menu designed by Blue Train’s head chef Jay Sinclair,” Ms Gartner said.

“Cinema-goers can now enjoy dinner at Southgate before the film and pre-order snacks and drinks to be delivered straight to their deck chair during the movie,” she added.
