By Nadia Dimattina

Acclaimed cabaret performer Michael Griffiths will be paying tribute to singer, songwriter Annie Lennox in his upcoming one-man show “Sweet Dreams”.

Michael Griffiths is Annie Lennox as he will be performing her unforgettable songs including Why, Walking on Broken Glass, There Must be an Angel and Thorn in my Side at The Salon at Melbourne Recital Centre.

Griffiths won the prestigious Best Cabaret Award Adelaide Fringe 2014 and was nominated for a Green Room Award (Best Musical Direction) in 2014.

A review from The Age included the following praise: “Griffiths is extraordinary”.

The one-man cabaret is written and directed by Helpmann Award-winner Dean Bryant.

This one-hour performance of cabaret will play with your heart as the audience listens to Annie’s bittersweet lyrics, which share stories of her triumphs and her heartbreak.

There will be two performances on June 30 and July 1 at 7pm, with concession tickets at $29 and adult tickets for $39.
