Tubular Bells for Two hits the stage

Tubular Bells for Two hits the stage

By Emma Doherty

In a thrilling and intricately-choreographed performance, Daniel Holdsworth and Thomas Bamford will perform a rendition of Mike Oldfield’s 1973 classic composition, “Tubular Bells”.

More than 40 years since its release, Holdsworth and Bamford are to be tested by being tasked with playing more than 20 instruments live on stage.

The multi-award winning performance will be staged at the Playhouse Theatre following a stint of performances across the UK, Europe and the USA.

It was first performed at the Sydney Fringe Festival by Holdsworth and his co-creator Aidan Roberts in 2010 where the team won the best Music Moment Award.

The show then went on to be performed at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it was also awarded the prestigious Herald Angel Award.
