A toast to our masters!

Southbank’s own community-run public speaking group Teahouse Toastmasters took a clean sweep at the Toastmasters Area 41 contest on November 24.

The group was competing against three other local groups and claimed victory in all four of the competition categories.

“This was a great achievement for the club, which is comprised of Southbank locals who have taken up the challenge of improving their public speaking skills,” group president Jo Vanselow said.

Teahouse Toastmasters Southbank meets on the first and third Thursday every month at the Boyd Community Hub at 6:30pm. Its first meeting for 2019 will be held on January 17 and new guests are always welcome.
