Best and brightest arrive
The average IQ of Southbank rose last month when the finals of the Australian Brain Bee Challenge (BCC) were held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
To make us mortals feel even worse, the contestants were high school students from all over Australia.
The competition tests knowledge of important facts, intelligence, memory, emotions, sensations, movement, stress, aging, sleep, Alzheimer’s disease and stroke.
The winner was announced by Minister for Education Martin Dixon. Southbank Local News wonders if seeing these intellects here in Southbank will encourage him to build our school sooner rather than later.
The winner was Jackson Huang from Queensland. The locals had something to cheer about with the announcement of the runner up, Zelda Perri, from MacRobertson’s High School, here in Melbourne.
