For the love of honey

For the love of honey Eureka 89 will host a honey lovers delight on March 20 as part of this year’s Melbourne Food Wine and Festival (MFWF).

Locals are invited to join Eureka 89 executive chef Renee Martillano and urban beekeepers from Melbourne City Rooftop Honey as they serve up a honey-inspired five-course dinner as part of this year’s “community” themed MFWF.

Creating a sense of community in their hive constructions, bees are renowned social creatures and Eureka 89’s Eureka Tower has its very own colony through its giant sculpture of bees perched on the side of the building.

It is a superb artwork that reinforces the important role of bees in our environment, through pollination and food production.

Bringing the community together atop Eureka Tower, Eureka 89 will take the nectar from five Rooftop Honey apiaries and combine them with locally sourced produce to present five delicious courses and beverages to match.

Bookings are essential for this not-to-be-missed event and tickets can be purchased for $170 per person, all-inclusive.
