Pet’s corner

Pet’s corner

There wouldn’t be many pets living in Southbank who moved here and found it quieter and more peaceful than their previous homes, but that is the way Molly Ryan feels.

Having moved here from St Kilda Rd, Molly finds the surrounds of Southbank Village to be calming and a great place to live.

Southbank Local News caught up with Molly while she was out for a walk with her aunty, Jenny.

Jenny said Molly considered herself to be human, which may contribute to the fact that she loved living the city lifestyle.

She loves to go out for coffee, her favourite café is My Mexican Cousin, but on that day was heading into the city for a latte.

She’s also got very good general behaviour and an especially-good road sense, which helps on walks in and around the city.

Molly is also very loud and loves to chat. Jenny believes this may contribute to her struggles to make a good first impression with other pets around Southbank.

It is also the reason Molly and cousin (Jenny’s cat) Brian don’t always see eye to eye. Jenny was babysitting Molly for the weekend and expected to have some fun, saying: “Molly likes to talk to Brian and likes him but he certainly isn’t mad about her.”

Molly is also not afraid to talk to the mounted police horses when she sees them and Jenny says she loved running into them at any opportunity.

Like most dogs, the nine-year-old loves her food and wants to recommend to the readers (regardless of the sponsor of this column) the pigs ears from PETstock.

Southbank Local News isn’t sure if pig’s ear goes well with coffee, but we don’t think Molly really minds.
