Arts focus at residents’ AGM

The director of the Arts Precinct transformation project will present at the Southbank Residents’ Association’s (SRA) annual general meeting (AGM) on July 25 at the Malthouse Theatre.

Melbourne Arts Project Director at Development Victoria Hannah Clement will provide locals with an insight into how the once-in-a-generation renewal project is shaping up and answer their questions.

The SRA invites all Southbankers to attend the AGM, which will provide an update on the association’s past year’s advocacy, while members get their chance to elect a new committee for the 2019/2020 year.

SRA president Tony Penna said SRA welcomed any interest in joining next year’s committee. In order to stand for election or to vote at the AGM, locals will need to be an SRA member, which costs $10 per year. Locals can join anytime via the SRA website or on the night.

Registration will commence at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start and end at 8.30pm. The Malthouse Theatre (113 Sturt St) cafe will be open prior to the AGM for refreshments.
