Gymnastics club goes back-to-back

The Montague-based Fishermans Bend Gymnastics Club (FBGC) was recently awarded the winner of Gymnastics Victoria’s 2018 Medium Club of the Year for a second consecutive year.

On Gymnastics Victoria’s awards night, the FBGC, located on Boundary St, was presented the award, which was determined by a voting panel comprising senior Victorian gymnastics representatives and technical committees.

FBGC Communications manager Mandy Moore said the club was thrilled to be recognised by its peers, industry figures and Gymnastics Victoria as being the leading club in Victoria its category.

“It’s testament to the outstanding efforts of our coaches, administration team and voluntary committee who work tirelessly to improve our programs and promote our wonderful club,” she told Southbank Local News.

The medium category clubs have gymnast enrolments of 400 to 700 people, while the award was presented in front of 600 gymnastics representatives, officials and fans.
