Local business acknowledged

Founders of Southbank business Kingsford Property Mark O’Neil, Martin Russell and Shaun Warhurst have been acknowledged with bronze Lord Mayor’s Commendations.

Having originally begun its operations at Riverside Quay, the now Coventry St-based property group has witnessed a lot of change in Southbank over its 20 years in business.

Director Mark O’Neil said it was great to see the business’s contribution to Melbourne acknowledged by the City of Melbourne.

“It’s terrific to receive the awards and its great to see the city supporting long-serving businesses,” he said.

“When we started on banks of the Yarra at Riverside Quay I don’t think many people even knew what Riverside Quay was. There was no casino and no Jeff’s Shed.”

“We’ve seen a lot of change with the enormous amounts of construction of apartments so we’ve really watched Southbank grow around us.”

Working right across Melbourne’s property market, Kingsford Property specialises in apartment and serviced apartment sales, property leasing and management and project marketing.

The three gentlemen will receive their awards at a special event on September 7 at Melbourne Town Hall.
