Marking the “next generation”

Marking the “next generation”

Located at the corner of Power and Kavanagh streets, Southbank Place is the first of developer Central Equity’s “next generation” apartment projects to be completed.

The 52-level apartment, which was officially completed last month, includes extensive state-of-the-art resident facilities over three levels and large city homes designed with liveability in mind.

Central Equity’s latest addition to the Southbank skyline marks its 29th development in our suburb, with its first, 28 Southgate Avenue, having been delivered back in 1995.

Its 30th Southbank development, Focus, is soon due to get underway at 75 City Rd and will continue its current chapter of delivering “next generation” living.

Southbank Place offers residents a vast range of resort style facilities set over 1400 sqm. The residents-only “Horizon Club” on level 41 provides the luxury and feel of a hotel right at home. There are two kitchens for catering, an expansive dining area, a lounge and a terraced outdoor barbecue area.

Residents can enjoy a dinner party with spectacular views across Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay as their back drop or take in a movie and relax in reclining lounges in their own “gold-class style” cinema next door.

A multi-purpose recreation room allows residents to meet in the informal lounge area or arrange a game of table tennis.

Health and wellness has also been a key area of focus in Central Equity’s latest development. Residents will be well taken care of with a large, indoor heated pool with expansive glass roof, as well as an extensively fitted gym and yoga room. Residents can escape the fast pace of the inner city and enjoy two spacious landscaped garden terraces for relaxation and four barbecues with seating areas.

Designed by Graham Fisher Bell Fisher Architects, a luxurious foyer, complete with a 24-hour concierge, provides a grand sense of arrival with expansive five-metre ceilings and a wall of glazing overlooking Kavanagh St.

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s Arts Precinct and within walking distance of the Crown Entertainment Centre and the CBD, Southbank Place provides direct access to a variety of education options and the major sports and recreation areas via public transport. Local community services include a library, child minding facilities and a new city park nearby at Boyd Community Hub.

Central Equity has now developed over 80 projects and the company has completed more residential towers in Southbank than any other developer. A pioneer in the precinct, with over 30 years’ experience, it has unparalleled experience developing Southbank to meet residents’ requirements.

Recognised for its projects by various leading industry bodies, Central Equity won the prestigious Housing Industry Associations’ (HIA) Victoria Apartment Complex Award in 2018 and has won the award four times in the past eight years.
