Show me grace

Show me grace Image

By Rhonda Dredge

Kate Daw passed away of breast cancer last month. She was the head of art at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).

Southbank News reviewed her 2018 exhibition at the Margaret Lawrence Gallery.

They were modest little figurative paintings.

The college organised a Friday afternoon Zoom meeting last month to commemorate her life.

Former colleagues talked about her achievements, but the photographs told the real story.

There was Kate at art openings chatting to the girls.

We loved her take on life.

She enclosed us in a story, and we enjoyed the experience.

Show me Grace was the name of her exhibition. RD •
