Gold rush celebrates new year

Eureka! Southbank lit up spectacularly on new years eve, headlining the City of Melbourne’s gold-themed celebrations.

Southbank, the CBD and Docklands all had fireworks displays that proved very popular among party-goers.

Fireworks were let off during the evening for families and then at midnight for the true revellers among us.

The gold theme was maintained throughout the night, and was highlighted in both major displays.
