Head this way, it’s KereKere day!
Southbank News | 19th March, 2013
For the first time Southbank got to experience KereKere day last month, to celebrate the sixth birthday of KereKere cafes.
Newly housed in the Boyd community centre, the cafe celebrated by giving away free coffees all day on March 6.
KereKere manager, James Murphy, said the day had been a great success, and was thankful to the Southbank community for embracing the idea.
“We were delighted with the overwhelming response to the day. It was terrific to meet so many new locals, both residents and workers in the area and introduce them to KereKere and our culture of ‘Giving without expectation’, ” Mr Murphy said.
“The highlight of the day was providing over 700 free coffees.”
