Mr Tango is slowly coming back
Following his emergency spinal surgery, Mr Tango met Southbank News on the steps of the Red Stair amphitheatre at Queensbridge Square in October.
Pushed in a buggy by his owner Autumn, this almost 10-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi is already recovering, slowly but surely.
His breed is known for back issues, and after Mr Tango had slipped on the floor, unluckily, so did his spinal disc.
Autumn adopted him as a two-year-old from a Queensland kennel. He was already called Tango, but his owner explained: “I added ‘Mister’ in front of it because people ask if it’s a he or she!”
“He likes to hang out in cafes and bars with me,” Autumn said.
His favourite spot? Autumn doesn’t hesitate: “Life’s Too Short Bar by the MCG”.
His recovery is expected to last four to five months without walking and in a couple weeks, this lovely Corgi will start hydro-physiotherapy which means he will exercise on a treadmill immersed in water. Get well soon Mr Tango!
If you would like to contribute to the costs of his operation, Autumn has launched a fundraising campaign. Click here to donate. •
