Ken and Max the Kelpie cross
Ken and his Kelpie cross Max were enjoying a coffee when they were spotted basking in the beautiful Melbourne sun outside Southgate.
The two were making a much-needed pit stop during their daily walk into the city from Richmond.
Ken explained that having Yarra Park and the river so close to his house made having a small yard a whole lot easier for his mate Max.
“I’m just walking with my son to Patrick to work, we have a nice chat on the way. It only takes about 20 minutes to half-an-hour. It’s good to have a decent walk every day,” Ken said.
Ken is a freelance emergency management consultant, which he said lets him get out of the house and walk Max once or twice a day.
“Max just goes out and brings back his ball and says alright lets go for a walk,” he said.
All the while Ken was talking, Max never lost sight of his cherished tennis ball, even when he posed for a photo.
“He’s a photogenic dog, I’ve got a whole album of him at home,” Ken said.
