Perfectly petite is Penny

It’s hard not to be absolutely taken by five-month-old miniature dacshund, Penny.

Enjoying a quiet afternoon walk around Boyd with owner and local Nicole Allan, they soon drew the attention of two young children playing nearby.

Overwhelmed by this newfound attention, Penny was soon at home in Nicole’s arms where she had treats a plenty.

“She loves food. When she sees any kind of food, she wants to steal it,” Nicole said.

Nicole and her boyfriend have had Penny since she was eight weeks old.

With Nicole’s boyfriend having grown up with a dacshund, they decided that Penny was the perfect fit for city living.

“Living in an apartment she is fine.

But she knows when she’s been naughty, she tries to go and hide,” Nicole said.
