‘Saints’ donate blood
A group of 60 “saints” from the Church of God visited the Red Cross Blood Centre in Soutbank on Australia Day to donate blood.
The church group is based in Pascoe Vale, but made a day of it in Southbank, culminating in the donation of blood.
Hilda Dursun from the church group said the blood drive was all about helping people.
“This event is to save lives of those who are dying due to the shortage of blood supplies,” Ms Dursun said.
The Church wants to encourage all people to donate blood and save lives.
Ms Dursun said the “saints” were donating as part of the celebration of the 94th anniversary of the birth of Ahnsahnghong, who they believe is the second coming of christ.
