A new community choir, which aims to engage, educate and empower, launched at the Boyd Community Hub last month.
Upbeat Arts delivers tailored arts and cultural programs for artists and educators to work with marginalised communities, promoting social inclusion, positive mental health and overall wellbeing.
The curriculum is designed by leaders in the arts and includes creative writing, percussion, drama and singing, with research funded by independent organisations including Opera Australia.
The group will meet weekly every Wednesday from 11am in Boyd Community Hub’s Assembly Hall and is open to anyone to get involved.
