GURNER unveils luxury wellness club SAINT Black in Southbank
Developer GURNER Group has announced the launch of SAINT Black, its newest luxury wellness and private social club, opening this July within its recently completed Madison Grand build-to-rent development at 344 City Rd in Southbank.
Spanning more than 2500sqm across three levels, SAINT Black marks the second iteration of the company’s SAINT Private Social Club concept and its most ambitious wellness offering to date.
Described as a “sanctuary of contrasts”, the space combines high-performance training, recovery, business, and social connection. It will cater to a new generation of high-performing professionals seeking a seamless blend of wellness, luxury, and lifestyle.
“SAINT Black is not just a wellness or social club – it’s a statement,” GURNER founder Tim Gurner said. “It brings a rebellious energy into a space usually defined by restraint. There really is nothing else in Australia like it.”
Located on the edge of Southbank and South Melbourne. SAINT Black features include an outdoor rooftop pool framed by wood-barrel saunas, inspired by rooftop wellness scenes in New York City. By day the area is a tranquil recovery space; by night it transforms into a vibrant social setting.

The club will host more than 200 weekly classes across yoga, Pilates, strength and conditioning, meditation, and breathwork. Members will also have access to leading recovery technology including cryotherapy, red light therapy, hyperbaric chambers and IV therapy.
A new premium tier, SANA, will unlock additional access to Level 7’s private bathhouse, rooftop saunas, ice baths, and landscaped terraces.
Complementing the wellness offering is a members-only adaptogenic bar, organic restaurant, co-working spaces, and private business lounges.
