St Johns celebrates Thanksgiving with a stylish twist

St Johns Southgate transformed into a fashion runway on Sunday, June 15, hosting its annual Thanksgiving Celebration with this year’s bold and joyful theme – the St Johns International Fashion Festival.

Inspired by the rich tradition of autumn harvest festivals, St Johns church has brought the concept into the heart of the city, with past creative themes ranging from rain and hygge, to the Olympics and Aussie footy.

This year, fashion took centre stage. Congregants contributed meaningful clothing items – from national dress and handmade pieces to retro gems – for a unique and heartfelt catwalk display.

The church was decked out like a high-end fashion show, complete with a catwalk of mannequins and red carpet arrivals. •
