Coventry St is unique because it’s named after both a specific person, but more accurately, the title given to him.
The title Earl of Coventry was first coined in England way back in 1697.
It was given to Thomas Coventry, the fifth Baron Coventry.
The title was created in case any of the descendants of Coventry failed to pass the name down through male descendants.
