Vinnies opens new op-shop in the heart of South Melbourne
Southbank and South Melbourne locals can now enjoy a new destination for affordable fashion and homewares, with Vinnies officially opening its doors on Coventry St on July 23.
The new store at 268 Coventry St marks the latest addition to Vinnies Victoria’s network of more than 120 shops, continuing the 171-year-old charity’s mission to provide quality second-hand goods and community support across the state.
We’re excited to open our doors on Coventry St, right in the heart of South Melbourne’s thriving retail and café scene, just a short stroll from the [South Melbourne] Market, Vinnies Victoria head of retail Neil Harvey said.
“It’s the perfect spot for a day out and a great place to discover pre-loved treasures with heart.”
Locals are also encouraged to get involved, with the store seeking volunteers to join its team.
“As always, we’d love to hear from anyone interested in volunteering at our South Melbourne shop. It’s one of the most rewarding ways to give back and support your local neighbourhood,” Mr Harvey said.
The South Melbourne store is now open and welcoming shoppers. •
