Changing of the guard at YRBA

Southbank and South Wharf traders’ group the Yarra River Business Association (YRBA) has appointed a new executive officer in Elizabeth Joldeski.

Ms Joldeski replaces outgoing executive officer Tim Bracher, who has served in the role for a remarkable 26 years and will retire from the position at the end of April

According to the YRBA, Ms Joldeski’s was selected from a strong field of contenders due to her long experience in dealing with small and medium enterprises through roles in government and private consultancy.

Ms Joldeski will run the YRBA alongside her current role as executive officer of Mainstreet Australia – the association dedicated to strip shopping centres throughout the country.

YRBA president Jeremy Vincent said that Ms Joldeski’s experience and qualifications would ensure that it continued as a major force, building upon the foundation built by Mr Bracher.

“This means that Liz will have a full two-month on-boarding program, during which time she hopes to engage with as many stakeholders and members as possible,” Mr Vincent said.

Southbank News will bring you more about Elizabeth Joldeski and her vision for the YRBA in the April edition. •
