A warm welcome
7th October, 2016
More than 35 locals gathered at Boyd Community Hub last month to warmly welcome people new to Australia.
Held in the Assembly Hall on September 29, the Welcome Dinner Project saw a number of new and established local residents attend the community meal in what was a celebration of the diversity in our neighbourhood.
Guests were invited to bring a plate of food traditional to their culture or that reminded them of home with the aim of breaking down barriers and connecting over a meal.
