Action needed on City Rd

I am a reasonably new resident, residing in an apartment next to the Herald Sun building.

I love my access to the Arts Precinct, Southbank and the CBD.

However, my concern lies with the traffic noise from City Rd, particularly at night.

Hotted up cars use the street as a racetrack, not to mention truck noises as well.

I can’t be the only person along City Rd that is fed up with this intrusion in what could be a peaceful night.

Why can’t the government and the council regulate speeds on City Rd to 40km/h an hour during the evenings?

This would discourage the noise makers. Even the addition of speed cameras at the St Kilda Rd overpass.

Action is needed, now!
