Call for morning tea hosts
Southbank News | 15th April, 2014
The call has again gone out for Southbank residents and businesses to participate in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Locals are being encouraged to run or attend a morning tea event, with money and awareness being raised for Cancer Council Victoria.
The Cancer Council is hoping to recruit more than 8000 event hosts, giving it a great opportunity to raise much-needed funds.
Cancer Council Victoria spokesperson Marlene Cirillo said the charity was hoping to raise $3 million.
“We invite every Melbourne resident to join thousands of others across the state hosting events in their homes, officers and schools. Together we can beat cancer!” she said.
To host an event, you need to register at www.biggestmorningtea.com.au or call 1300 656 585.
