Charges laid following Montague factory fire

Detectives from the Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man following a factory fire in the Montague Precinct of South Melbourne in May.
The 30-year-old man was arrested at a Parkville address at around 7am on July 6.
Detectives executed a warrant and seized a number of electronic and explosive items.
The 30-year-old Parkville man was later charged with arson, possess explosive and make false document.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
It follows a large factory fire on Ferrars St at around midnight on Thursday, 6 May.
The fire caused extensive damage to the single-storey structure.
