Connecting with the MSO
Southbank News | 15th April, 2014
“MSO Connect” introduces music students to the work of the MSO in an effort to encourage more young people to attend MSO concerts.
It includes subsidized group ticket packages for secondary school students, visits from MSO musicians to participating schools and master classes at the schools.
MSO managing director, André Gremillet (pictured left with participants) said the program was a great example of how and why MSO musicians connect with younger Melburnians.
“It was inspiring to see that our audience members and patrons are as passionate about getting young and engaged students into the concert hall as we are and we look forward to further developing and expanding this program,” Mr Gremillet explained.
