Doyle returns to lead City

Lord Mayor Robert Doyle and deputy Lord Mayor Susan Riley were emphatically returned to office during last month’s City of Melbourne elections.
The leadership team was re-joined by returning councillors Cr Kevin Louey, Cr Cathy Oke, Cr Ken Ong and Cr Jackie Watts.
New faces on the council are Cr Stephen Mayne, Cr Rohan Leppert, Cr Arron Wood, Cr Beverly Pinder-Mortimer and Cr Richard Foster
The Lord Mayor was returned with 40.76 per cent of the first preference vote and after preferences had 52.42 per cent of the vote, well clear of Alison Parks (25.07 per cent) and Gary Singer (22.51 per cent).
