More Chinese New Year action
10th February, 2017
There is plenty of Chinese New Year action to come at Southbank.
Queensbridge Square is hosting morning Tai Chi from 7.30am until February 10. The Cultural Kaleidoscope wraps up with a spectacular closing ceremony, so why not drop down on Sunday, February 12.
The Arts Precinct comes alive with themed events. Catch the Chinese Music Orchestra at the Recital Centre on February 9 and on February 11 Australia’s internationally-acclaimed drumming ensemble Taikoz will leave you breathless.
And between February 15 and 18, the National Ballet of China is performing the not-to-be-missed Red Detachment of Women. The ballet premiered in 1964 and tells the story of all-female company of the communist Red Army from the 1930s.
