Spectacular ‘Vortex’ illuminates White Night
Southbank News | 18th March, 2014
White Night again attracted a massive crowd to the south-eastern tip of the city, with many Southbank locations featured prominently on the night.
Held in February, White Night’s Southbank contribution included the “Vortex”, a brilliant light installation on the bridge between Flinders St Station and Southgate shopping centre.
Southgate Cinema also played throughout the night, plus “Testing Grounds” and many of our arts institutions stayed open through the evening and into the morning.
It seems the only issue with the evening is its popularity, with some visitors suggesting there was just too many people to get around effectively.
No official word yet, but no doubt this popularity will see White Night return in 2015.
